Unfortunately, incidents of fraud using another’s private data (so called “forgery of identity”) occur constantly. However, there are some methods how to protect your private information from fraudsters. It is enough just to follow the simple precautions!
Providing your private information by telephone, personally or in the Internet, be scrupulous! Do not provide information while you are not sure with whom you are dealing.
Inform about lost or stolen checks, credit or debit cards immediately.
It is necessary to keep annulled checks, new checks and extracts on state of account in safe place.
InformAS "PrivatBank" about suspicious telephone calls with alleged requests that are necessary for “revise of extracts on state of account” or “awarding a prize”. The Bank does NOT request the confidential information by telephone or e-mail.
Check the reports on your credit operations at least once a year. Ascertain that all of the information, contained in them, is correct and precise.
Remember your PIN-Code. Do NOT write it down or keep with the payment card.
Destroy any unnecessary completed credit proposals and similar documents that contain your private data.
Follow the security of your mail. Do not send accounts and other secret information via unsafe mail boxes. Check you mail regularly, because the fraudsters can use the private information, contained in the mail.
In case you did not get your monthly accounts in usual date, call the appropriate company in order to clarify the reason.
Check the monthly extracts on your account carefully. If some items seem to you suspicious, inform the Bank about it.
Do not carry your passport or birth-certificate with you without a necessity.
